![]() Penny press books are sold at many gift shops. The locations and designs change on occasion. The visitor center does not have a list of available machines, and unfortunately, employees are not very knowledgeable about the locations of machines even in their own stores. Ĭhange machines are frequently encountered (they accept $1 and $5 bills), and ATMs are found throughout the complex as well. Located one small step from Orlando, arrive early for a full-day experience at the greatest space adventure on Earth. Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is where rockets launch and inspiration begins at Florida's gateway to space. : The site was repaired and is correct now. Food prices at the cafes are not bad. Please include details about the machine and a written description of each coin. They will check your bags at the check point before going in which could slow down your time at the entrance. You are allowed to take food in with you, not a hard shell cooler, and drinks. Every show was worth watching though and we’re glad that we just waited patiently. We went to Hall of Heros three times because the entry was blocked, no employee was there and people had no idea how long it would take to get into the exhibit. Great guy! The only thing that was weird, was almost every exhibit you enter has a show playing before you get to the actual exhibit, but no where did we see a sign posted of how long the wait time is or how long the show takes. ![]() Our bus driver, David, was pretty awesome and very knowledgeable. We drove past the vehicle assembly building and saw the biggest doors in the world and the crawler that carries the rockets/shuttles to the launch pads. The bus tour is included in the price and a MUST. ![]() It does take all day! Lots of stuff is outside so make sure you bring sunscreen. We didn’t have to make a reservation, paid $54.99 a person and got to see everything there is to see. Not a good experience at all Read moreĮxcellent!! This was our first time there and we had a wonderful time. Luckily I had my husband with me or the panic attack would have been a reality. I honestly thought I was going to have a panic attack, it was really frightening! Once the ride starts there is no stopping it as we discovered. Whilst I fully appreciate it is a simulator at the very start of the ride, without warning, you move forward to a place where your legs are dangling over what felt like a precipice. This is a simulated ride but you should have a warning for guests with height phobia. My only recommendation is that on the Outer Space experience where there are four choices we chose the Mars Ride. We then took the recommendations from the website as to what else to see as an adult couple attending but you can chose what suits you. Everything is ordered via a computer stand but it was fairly straight forward even for us midlifers! We both had a make-your-own salad which was freshly prepared, healthy and nutritious. We then had lunch at the Orbit Cafe where there was a good range of food. Once at the Apollo/ Saturn 5 centre you can spend as long as you like and then get a bus back. ![]() We immediately set off to the bus tour which started at 930 as I had read on line this can get busy. We arrived early at 830 to park up and then joined the line for access at 9.00 am when it opens having purchased our ticket on line beforehand. My husband and I were both looking forward to our visit and it didn’t disappoint. Anyway, if you don’t mind spending the fee for a nice boat ride, a swim, and a few bits of information about manatees, you won’t be disappointed. Sometimes the depth of the water is quite shallow. Manatees only surface periodically, so they cannot be seen under the water. We were somewhat confused as to how all of these boats use propellers which are known enemies to manatees. We envisioned something quite different than chasing a poor manatee or encroaching on their space while he/she was trying to graze on grasses and other greens. Apparently, August is not a good time to see manatees, since there were three present the entire two ½ hours we attempted to locate them. By the time we swam up, which sometimes was quite a distance, we could not make our way around the manatee. We had eight visitors on the boat and we were last off of the boat. Next, you have to rent a wet suit, which isn’t part of the fee, so just expect that cost, which really isn’t that expensive. We drove ourselves to meet the rest of our group. We drove around for an hour searching for the right pick-up. First, the tour provided us with a non-existent address to meet for the transport.
